Transportation Security Administration

To provide a safe environment for everyone at Duluth International Airport, security operations are managed by TSA representatives. It is always better to plan in advance because security procedures take time and the needed time is always approximate and depends on different factors. TSA’s security process includes a screening process for passengers and their belongings. Advanced imaging technology is being used for the proper checking of both passengers and their belongings.

TSA PreCheck

Duluth International Airport offers its travelers an expedited screening program that allows passengers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep the laptop in its case and the 3-1-1 compliant liquids bag in a carry-on, in select screening lanes.

The TSA Pre allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to pass through pre-enrollment procedures online at the website and visit an application center to provide biographic information, fingerprints, payment, and valid identification and citizenship/immigration documents.

After approval, passengers will receive a Known traveler number which will allow them to utilize TSA Pre lanes at security checkpoints.

Airport Security

Airport security is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In case someone needs to report an incident or has a help request, they should dial (218) 625-7763.

The security office is on the second floor of the terminal. Its number is Office 213 and it is located next to the TSA screening entrance.
